![]() Louis Andriessen Composer |
Louis Andriessen is one of Europe's most eminent and influential composers. His music combines propulsive energy, economy of material and distinctive sonorities, often dominated by pungent wind and brass, pianos and electric guitars. He has explored, in relation to music, the subjects of politics, time, velocity, matter and mortality. |
Tomoko Mukaiyama's unique approach to the piano in which she employs her voice and body has inspired prominent composers. Winner of the International Gaudeamus Prize and the Muramatsu Prize, she has performed with the Ensemble Modern, Longdon Sinfonietta and the Ensemble Intercontemporain, and has collaborated with cinematographers, architects, and dancers. |
