The Tyrant
The Tyrant, commissioned from composer Paul Dresher (with libretto by Jim Lewis), is based on the short story, A King Listens by Italo Calvino. Also on the program will be Music for Children byJohn Zorn and another piece commissioned by the Seattle Chamber Players, The Princess has pricked her finger – and all the Kingdom fell asleep, by Russian composer Victor Ekimovsky.
